Nightmare On Maple Street

I had an opportunity to ferment more hot peppers, so joining the group of cayenne pepper products with Sauspiria and Apocalypse Kraut is my latest hot sauce, Nightmare On Maple Street!
Freddy's new gloves are a little less dangerous than they used to be.

Sauspiria

When a coworker presented me with a boat load of hot peppers, it only made sense to try a fermented hot sauce.  And with this being so close to Halloween, naming it after a horror movie seemed fitting.  So I present to you, SAUSPIRIA!!

Banana Stand Redux

A kraut so nice I made it twice!  Banana Stand was such a big hit the first time that it sold out by the time I was done jarring it (and I jar fast!).  So with an Oktoberfest party coming up at my house I decided to bring it back to delight the taste buds of even more Fridge Top Ferments fans!

Home grown, just like the rappers sing about!

Ginger Carrots

In my yard I have two 4' x 4' "square foot" gardens, and in two of the 32 squares I planted carrots.  I like carrots, who doesn't, but the whole reason I planted them is because they're red carrots!

Licence to Dill

It's grilling weather, and few things go better on food off the grill than sauerkraut and dill pickles.  And when sauerkraut and dill combine you get Licence to Dill!

L. Red Hubbard

Meet L. Red Hubbard, a delicious red kraut fermented with green and red cabbage, carrots, beets, ginger, and salt! Named after the founder of Scientology, it shares more than just his cult like following.

Jalapeno Hare

After having success with a traditional kraut in January(retro actively named "The Krautfather"), it was time to venture out and try a kraut with some added ingredients. A few hours of drooling over the different krauts available out there later, and I settled on a roasted jalapeno kraut. In addition to the jalapenos(which I seeded and roasted in the oven), I added carrots, garlic, and a bit of ginger....because ginger makes everything better!
